The rest of the blanket is attached to the back of the coat as a drape, which can also be worn as a functional scarf.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“I have been researching Manx culture, and plaids and checks have been part of the archival imagery I have been looking at,” says Bethany. “I wanted to take this traditional Gaelic feeling and reinterpret it into something more contemporary. Alex from Making for Change created a basic coat block and I then draped the fabrics directly on the stand to create the shape. Alex constructed the garment and stitched the lining and outer together.
